rock and mountain correlation
The mountains that stretch across the coasts of Voldoor and Clawven help evidence the idea that Marauder was once a super continent. The mountains that are found on both continents are composed of the same form of metamorphic rock, quartzite. These mountains were formed as a result of the plate boundary collision that occurred between the two separate plates of Voldoor. The mountains of Clawven are a remnants of the old continent Hort when they were joined 200 million years ago.
In addition to this, dolerite distribution across Slyven and Albius can also be used as evidence of rock correlation across the once joined continents. |
